StinkDoku — Revenge of the Stinky Dragons. Written to be read by a grown-up; there is nothing hidden.

What StinkDoku keeps on your device

Your puzzle progress, level unlocks, daily streak, statistics and settings are saved on this device (in your browser's local storage). If you play online while connected, a copy of your campaign progress (unlocked level, stars, stats and settings) is also synced to our server so your linked devices stay in step — see below.

What is sent to our server (only if you play the online Daily Race)

The single-player game works fully offline. If you choose the online Daily Race — or link a device — we store the smallest amount needed for a fair, server-timed leaderboard and a shared identity:

  • an anonymous device ID and a hashed secret key (no name, no email, no login)
  • a nickname (a preset one, or your own if it passes our filter)
  • the time you started and finished today's race, and your rank
  • how many hints and mistakes you used
  • the results of any head-to-head matches
  • your friend code and the friends you add — friendships are mutual, and a friend can see your nickname, your streak and your head-to-head record against them
  • your campaign progress (unlocked level, stars, stats and settings), so it stays in step across the devices you link
  • the short link codes you create to add a device, and which devices are linked to your player — a link code is one-time and expires in 10 minutes
  • only if you choose to sign in to Game Center or Play Games: a one-way hash of your platform player id (never the id itself), used solely to match you with friends who already play

Your IP address is used for a moment to stop abuse (rate limiting) and is not stored.

Linking another device

You can play as the same dragon on more than one device — for example your iPhone, an Android phone and the web — without an account. Open Settings → Link another device to show a short one-time code, then enter it on your other device. Linking shares your nickname, friends, friend code, streaks, head-to-head record, leaderboard entries and campaign progress. Settings → Link another device → Devices lists every linked device and lets you unlink one; an unlinked device keeps its local progress but gets a new, separate online identity.

What StinkDoku never collects

  • No names, emails or passwords
  • No location
  • No contacts or photos
  • No advertising IDs
  • No analytics or trackers
  • No chat or free text between players

How to delete your data

  • Your progress: open Settings → Reset progress to clear your progress, stats and streak — on this device and on every linked device (your settings are kept). Clearing your browser's site data also removes the local copy.
  • Online data: open Settings → Delete online data. This removes your player record and every device linked to it, plus all of its race/match results, friends and synced progress from our server.

Children's privacy

StinkDoku is a puzzle game for all ages — rated 4+ on the App Store and Everyone on Google Play — but it is not directed at children under 13, and it is not enrolled in Apple's Kids Category or Google's Designed for Families. It collects no personal information from anyone, and a nickname is either preset or filtered, so nothing identifies a child. Online data can be removed at any time from Settings → Delete online data.
